Kruti & Kunal

“Sometimes, what you are looking for comes when you’re not looking at all!”

Due to the pandemic, Kruti and Kunal’s wedding had to be rescheduled multiple times. As a result, they were unable to get their proposal photographed. Kunal, on the other hand, was not about to allow Covid to take away such a significant moment from their lives. So, before the pre-wedding photos, he arranged for a surprise proposal. Kruti was really caught off guard by this wonderful gesture, and it was an incredible moment to photograph.

During their pre-wedding photoshoot, we had a great time. The weather in Chicago was chilly and windy, but we managed to get some stunning photos in several spots.

They had a Pithi and Grah-Shanti ritual that was quite traditional. Kruti looked amazing in a light gold outfit, while Kunal wore a turquoise green Panjabi. A neutral-toned backdrop with flashes of glitter created by @jd_event-design was the perfect canvas for the ceremony. We found some time in the midst of the busy rituals to capture a few couple portraits for the newlyweds and some shots with friends and family.

Kruti and Kunal looked lovely at the Pithi Ceremony in their matching light mustard outfits. It was a joyous day for them, as they were surrounded by their loved ones. Kruti and Kunal’s faces glowed with joy, as evidenced by their smile. As they smeared haldi on each other’s faces, their joy brought smiles to our faces.

One of our favorite events has always been Sangeet. Kruti looked vibrant in her hot pink and aqua blue lehenga. Kunal selected a blush pink Panjabi that complemented Kruti’s attire. We were fortunate enough to catch some priceless moments with Kruti and her family. It was a colorful night of dancing and games.

We photographed their outfits and accessories while @chicago_makeup_artist was busy getting Kruti dolled up. In her South Asian wedding lehenga, Kruti looked gorgeous. Her hair and makeup were flawless, and @annus_creation did an incredible job with their outfits. Kunal, on the other hand, looked like a royal Indian prince in his albescent white suit.

Photographing the expressions on couples’ faces when they see each other dressed in their wedding attire for the first time is always a highlight for us. This moment was not only loving and intimate for Kruti and Kunal, but it was also full of laughter and delight. We couldn’t be happier with the location provided by @pearlbanquets for some timeless bridal photoshoots.

Kunal brought an energizing Barat, and @dj_khiladi did an outstanding job of keeping up the groove. While everything else may add glitz and glamour to the event, the couple’s emotional moments together create memories that will last a lifetime. So, we did our best to capture some memorable scenes from the wedding ceremony. Ending the wedding festivities with some dance steps together for the first time as man and wife was the ideal way to start their newlywed life.
